Brownie’s Auto Repair in Frederick County, Maryland specializes in vehicle emissions repair.

What is The Maryland Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program also known as  (VEIP)?

Maryland Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program also known as  (VEIP) schedules tests, notifies customers that their vehicle is due for the required emissions tests and administers these tests.  All required vehicles registered in specific Maryland counties including Frederick County, Maryland must undergo the VEIP inspections.

Why does your vehicle need to be inspected?

Vehicle emissions pollute our air and create ground-level ozone, a major component of smog. People drive 135 million miles in Maryland daily – an amount that increases every year. By making sure your vehicle is operating efficiently you can reduce our air pollution. All Marylanders need to help keep our air clean.

What if your vehicle fails the Maryland Vehicle Inspection?

If your vehicle fails the inspection, you will need to take your vehicle to an auto repair shop in Frederick, MD that specializes in emmissions repair. The state of Maryland will give you ample time to have this repair completed. Once the emissions repair is completed, you can bring your vehicle back to the inspection station to have it reinspected. The firs re-inspection is free but there is a fee if your vehicle fails twice.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT DO THE ACTUAL INSPECTION FOR VEIP HOWEVER WE DO OFFER REPAIRS FOR VEHICLES THAT HAVE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON OR THAT HAVE FAILED THE EMISSIONS INSPECTION.
